WEB DEVELOPER - I’m a front-end focused developer passionate about creating accessible, pixel-perfect user interfaces that blend thoughtful design with robust engineering. My favorite work lies at the intersection of design and development, creating experiences that not only look great but are meticulously built for performance and usability. Currently, I'm a Front-End Engineer at Trivium Interactive, specializing in creating reusable UI components for Wordpress.
RESEARCHER - By night, I'm busy with research related to audio and visual perception, encryption, and medical applications for sound. My med-tech company Sound Applications is set to release its first product (an app for dementia) later in 2025. My research has been featured in the Journal SEAMUS.
CREATIVE CODER - My strongest passion is centered around work where tech and art come together. My background in visual arts and electronic music led me to coding, originally to create tools for music performance. But over time creative coding has become an art form in its own right, allowing me to explore ideas impossible with traditional tools, and to experiment with interactions between different inputs: sound, video, human movement, data streams, etc. I specialize in creating Javascript based apps, but also have experience with many other code-based tools.

SUMMARY: Website for the Smithsonian Asian Pacific Alliance's new exhibition SIGHTLINES in Washington D.C. I collaborated with a cross functional team at Trivium Interactive (as Front End Engineer) on the development of this site.
MY ROLE: I worked with the team's designer who provided wireframes, upon which I built out the custom theme for the site. In addition to basic coding of the theme's templates, functions, and a custom plugin, I also contributed heavily to the design (color palette and typography) and was tasked with implementing all responsive design choices.
NEW CHALLENGES: The client wanted a highly interactive and animated feel, so I was able to gain new skills adding custom moving, scroll-based, and hover elements using CSS3 and Javascript. SEO and Accessibility were also paramount to this project. I spent more time than ever before conducting ADA scans and adding accessibility features to the site, to make sure it was compliant and user friendly. I also incorporated multiple APIs into the theme and created my first standalone Gutenberg blocks.
SUMMARY: An audio app leveraging the Web Audio API to generate targeted 40Hz audio (using a proprietary algorithm) to help users with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
MY ROLE: I bring a personal story to this project. My mother suffers with dementia, and this inspired me to research alternative therapies for the disease. Bringing together my background in app development and audio research, I discovered that 40Hz pulses of light and audio have proven benefit for dementia. I began developing various audio implementations of this technology.
NEW CHALLENGES: The hardest aspect of releasing a science-based app is proving your product's efficacy (by securing a university partner to assist with clinical studies); but I've just gotten sign on from faculty at Purdue University and plan to do further testing and optimizing in 2025.
SUMMARY: Website for the Tulane AB Freeman School of Business, including multiple subsites, faculty blogs, and the private student/faculty database.
MY ROLE: I worked within the Tulane IT Department, as part of the Web Team, and collaborated on design, coding, and maintenance of the primary website for the business school. I worked on a large overhaul of the entire website, automating conversion of hundreds of pages. I also assisted faculty and staff with their scholarly publishing needs.
NEW CHALLENGES: The student/faculty MYSQL database needed an interface to allow students and faculty to access important information about other personnel within the department. I created a new PHP interface for this intraweb site to accomplish this need.
